- Listing Inspections – Done for the seller of a home to help improve the marketability of the property.
- Inspection for the Lenders – To determine if the property is sound prior to making a loan (for example, HUD 203K or FHA; generally ordered by an appraiser).
- Insurance Inspections – Including inspections of an entire property and/or for specific systems.
- Municipal Inspections – Code inspections (code certification by the local authority may be required).
- Relocation inspections – For companies that will buy an employee’s home as part of a relocation.
- Rental Inspections – Either for a tenant or a property management company to provide proof of condition prior to occupancy.
- Builder Inspections – Which can include Phase, Walk Through, Quality Control, Draw or Warranty Inspections.
- Condominium Association Inspection – To assist in planning for the repair and maintenance of common systems.
- Forensic Inspections – To identify the cause of specific problems relating to moisture accumulation, unusual odors or other suspect conditions.
- Commercial Inspections – Commercial property inspection for business asset acquisition.
- Single System Inspections – Typically performed for evaluation purposes of a single components, such as heating, structural, etc.
